What this policy covers
Race Link Live processes account information and race data to deliver timing, location, video, voice, telemetry, replay, and race-operations services. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
1. Scope and roles
This Privacy Policy explains how Race Link Live LLC ("Race Link Live," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information through racelinklive.com, the Race Link Live platform, vehicle hardware, public race pages, support, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
Race Link Live acts as a business or controller for account, website, sales, security, and support information. When a customer decides which participant, vehicle, media, or event data to collect and how to use it, Race Link Live generally processes that data for the customer under the applicable order or agreement. The customer remains responsible for notices, permissions, and lawful instructions for that data.

3. Where information comes from
We receive information from you; your team, employer, event organizer, or account administrator; Google, Apple, or Facebook when you choose that sign-in method; vehicle systems and connected sensors; Race Link Live hardware and software; public sources; service providers; and third-party integrations that you or your organization enable. OAuth providers control their own collection and use of information under their policies.
4. How we use information
- Provide, synchronize, and preserve live timing, location, telemetry, video, audio, replay, and race records.
- Operate accounts, permissions, public team pages, event experiences, support, and billing.
- Monitor hardware, connectivity, security, reliability, and abuse.
- Analyze race and vehicle performance, surface patterns, and support authorized operational decisions.
- Improve, test, and develop Race Link Live products and services.
- Comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect people, property, and the Services.
We use information under the legal bases that apply to the activity, including performing a contract, following customer instructions, obtaining consent where required, complying with law, and pursuing legitimate business interests that do not override applicable rights.
5. Analytics, predictions, and automated processing
Race Link Live may use rules, statistics, machine learning, and other automated methods to organize data, identify patterns, create clips or summaries, forecast vehicle conditions, recommend content or operational actions, and improve reliability. Outputs may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. They are decision support, not autonomous race control, medical advice, or a substitute for qualified human judgment.
We may process Customer Data to provide, support, secure, analyze, and improve customer-specific Services and automated features. We may use de-identified or aggregated information to improve shared products, benchmarks, and models when it cannot reasonably be linked to a person, team, vehicle, or non-public event. We do not use identifiable Customer Data to train a general-purpose model for unrelated third parties unless the customer authorizes that use in writing.
6. When we disclose information
We may disclose information to infrastructure, hosting, communications, analytics, payment, security, support, and professional-service providers; to authorized users and integrations; to viewers when a customer publishes a public experience; in a corporate transaction; or when reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect rights, safety, and the Services.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not disclose mobile numbers or SMS consent records to third parties or affiliates for their marketing. We may disclose de-identified or aggregated data that cannot reasonably identify a person, team, vehicle, or non-public event.
7. Public race content
Customers may publish team pages, event pages, timing, vehicle location, video, audio, telemetry, clips, or replays. Public content may be viewed, recorded, copied, or redistributed by others. Customers and account administrators control these publishing settings and must have the rights and permissions needed to publish the content.
8. Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, the contracted replay or platform-retention period, security and backup cycles, dispute resolution, legal obligations, and enforcement. Retention varies by data type, customer package, account status, event configuration, and applicable law. De-identified information may be retained for longer where it cannot reasonably be reidentified.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for the nature of the information and the Services. No connected system or transmission method is completely secure. Customers are responsible for account access, device security, local networks, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized use.
10. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live and our role, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or restrict certain uses of personal information; withdraw consent; opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or qualifying automated decisions; and appeal a denied request. You may also use a legally recognized opt-out preference signal where required.
Submit a request to [email protected]. We may verify your identity and authority. If we process information solely for a customer, we may direct the request to that customer. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable right. You may appeal a decision by replying to our response with “Privacy Appeal.”
11. Children and participants
The Services are not offered for account creation by children under 13. Account holders must be at least 18. A team or event organization that submits information about a participant under 18 is responsible for obtaining permission from a parent or legal guardian and for using age-appropriate privacy settings.
12. International use
Race Link Live is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use an approved transfer mechanism and provide region-specific rights.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Services, law, or our practices change. We will post the revised policy and effective date. Where law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, we will provide it before the change applies.
