A separate notice for driver performance data
Race Link Live may process heart-rate and exertion data selected by a team or driver. We use it for race-performance visualization and authorized analytics, not medical care.
1. Scope
This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy supplements the Race Link Live Privacy Policy and describes how Race Link Live LLC collects and processes consumer health data, as that term is defined by applicable law. It applies when Race Link Live acts as a regulated entity or controller. A customer may have separate obligations when it selects the drivers and data used in the Services.
2. Health-related data we may process
When enabled, Race Link Live may process heart-rate readings, exertion trends, sensor identifiers, timestamps, event and vehicle associations, and derived performance indicators. We do not intentionally collect medical records, diagnoses, prescriptions, genetic information, or insurance records through this feature.
3. Why we process it
We process this data to display driver workload and performance context, synchronize it with race conditions and vehicle data, provide authorized analytics, troubleshoot sensors, secure the Services, and preserve the race record requested by the customer.
Race Link Live provides performance and informational tools. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition; provide medical advice; determine fitness to race; or continuously monitor for a medical emergency. Readings may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable. Drivers and teams must use qualified medical professionals and appropriate emergency procedures for health and safety decisions.
4. Sources
We may receive health-related data from a driver or authorized team member, connected wearable or sensor, vehicle system, customer configuration, or an integration the customer enables.
5. Who may receive it
Depending on the customer's settings, data may be available to the driver, authorized team users, event personnel, and service providers that host, secure, support, or transmit the Services. It may appear publicly only when the customer has deliberately authorized public display and has obtained the permissions required by law.
We do not sell consumer health data or use it for advertising, insurance, employment, credit, or eligibility decisions. We will not disclose identifiable health data for an unrelated purpose without the authorization required by law.
6. Consent and withdrawal
Where required, Race Link Live or the customer will obtain affirmative consent before collecting or sharing consumer health data. Consent to health-data processing is not a condition of purchasing unrelated Services. You may withdraw consent by contacting [email protected] or using an available account control. Withdrawal does not invalidate processing that occurred before it took effect and may disable the related feature.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request confirmation of whether we collect or share your consumer health data; access a list of third parties and affiliates that received it; withdraw consent; or request deletion. You may appeal a denied request by replying to our response with “Health Data Appeal.” We may verify your identity and authority before completing a request.
8. Retention and deletion
We retain health-related data only for the customer-authorized purpose, applicable contracted retention period, security and backup cycle, legal obligation, or dispute. A verified deletion request will be applied to active systems and, where required, backups and processors, subject to lawful exceptions.
9. Security
We use safeguards designed for the sensitivity and purpose of health-related data, including access controls and measures intended to protect data in transit and storage. No system is completely secure.
10. Changes
We will post changes to this notice. If a material change creates a new collection, use, or disclosure that requires consent, we will obtain consent before applying that change to the affected data.
